Effigy of home

A quiet Friday digging through old music and forgotten photos from home.

One Sunday, some time ago

Today, just some forgotten analog photos from an autumn stroll around Christiasnhavn during which I discovered...

...an impressive collaboration between nature and architecture.

...a very cool vintage kid's bike (which I would have been proud to own when I was five).

...some urban gardening.

...the grafittied entrance of one of my regular music venues.

...good coffee at one of my favorite haunts.

Tal Uf Tal Ab, Robert Frank

Recently browsing one of my favorite London book sellers (Magma Books), I purchased a small photo collection titled Tal Uf Tal Ab by Robert Frank. He is well known for his lifetime in film and photography, including his infamous Rolling Stones tour documentary (link), his photo collection The Americans and work with the likes of Harper's Bazaar and Vogue.

To my surprise , I found in his biography that he chose to settle down in Mabou, Cape Breton Island (my home). In Tal Uf Tal Ab, he captures little bits of his life in Cape Breton and New York.
